Process Engineer

Work Location: Perth

Roster: Monday to Friday

Reporting to the Manager Hydogen, the purpose of the Process Engineer is to assist with developing the portfolio of hydrogen projects within Australia FFI and will be responsible for development of process designs as part of the Hydrogen Team. The successful candidate will be able to support the development of renewable energy driven process designs and improve industrial processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Develop and configure renewable energy driven industrial process plant concepts
  • Develop process simulations and test optimisation concepts for process plants in ASPEN
  • Generate heat and mass balances for process plants
  • Provide support for technology assessments
  • Support the hydrogen team in scope delivery
  • Provide process documentation
  • Perform risk assessments
  • Support project teams with process engineering tasks as required
  • Report progress on the program – action tracker, timing, deliverables, milestones and budget

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Proven work experience in process engineering
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Knowledge of process related standards
  • Experience in process simulations
  • Working knowledge of process engineering software packages
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
  • Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills
  • BS degree in Chemical or Process Engineering
