Reporting to our Manager – Process Technology & Horticulture, you will be responsible to:

  • Contributing to the investigation and correction of ad-hoc issues raised in bulk manufacturing through exception reports, including review of process and equipment data, lab scale and production scale testing, and other root cause analysis activities.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to ensure product at risk is recovered; then, put in place effective preventative measures to prevent repeat issues from developing.
  • Ensure accurate product recipes are maintained for compounding to ensure reliable and consistent product is manufactured.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance during the resolution of safety, efficiency, cost, or quality-based issues within the production environment.
  • Work with production teams to identify and execute improvements to help reduce cost per kg/unit of operations.
  • Work with relevant teams to reduce production change over time and identify potential improvement opportunities.
  • Support the implementation of new or amended formula to create technology transfer and testing plans to ensure a stable manufacturing process.
  • Develop an understanding of how to produce cosmetic products at commercial scale, how to transfer formula from a lab scale to commercial scale, and how to assess the reliability and identify potential issues or risks within the manufacturing processes and develop effective countermeasures.
  • Learn and apply SMED approach and 5S practises to a manufacturing environment.

We are seeking someone who has the following expertise:

  • Degree in Chemical, Manufacturing or Pharmaceutical Engineering.
  • Computer literate (Comfortable working with the Microsoft suite).

  • Basic statistical analysis to identify trends or assess changes e.g. histogram, SPC, box and whisker.
  • Effective time manager.
  • Hands-on approach to work.
  • Clear and concise formal and informal communication methods.
  • Team player.
