Your new company
Hays Facilities Management is partnering with an Australian-owned building services and OC group that provides comprehensive property management services across the residential and commercial sectors.

Our client has restructured their team for building services of the common areas of a major development in the Melbourne CBD and are actively recruiting an experienced Senior Building Manager to oversee an apartment complex as well as a small commercial presence on the ground floor.

Your new role
This is a permanent position, starting ASAP. You will be responsible for the building operations and maintenance of common areas across the development, inclusive of cleaning and security obligations.

  • Manage a team of on-site support including cleaners, security personnel and an Assistant BM
  • Regular reporting to OC and attending regular meetings
  • Responsible for budget expenditure on-site and reporting into a Senior Facilities Manager

What you'll need to succeed
You will require demonstrated experience managing a large residential tower of 400+ tenancies, ideally with mixed-use facilities such as offices or a retail strip.

  • Understanding of reporting to OC and engaging with key stakeholders such as the builder/developer
  • Experience managing a team of internal staff and ability to engage with contractors as well as setting up service level agreements and going out to tender for services
  • Police check will be conducted on successful candidate

What you'll get in return

  • $80,000 - $85,000 + super
  • Permanent role following a restructure designed to improve effectiveness of the development's management
  • Autonomous position leading an on-site team with support from an Assistant BM and newly appointed Senior FM
