The Role

We are seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Structural Engineer / Estimator to work within our Scaffolding and Engineering division on a permanent basis. 

The Structural Engineer / Estimator plays an important part as a leader within our business, tasked with the responsibility for tendering and executing various projects. 

Role Specific Competencies

  • Proven track record of completion from tendering through to practical completion in both workshop and field environments. 
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of varying commercial models including fixed price, reimbursable and budget estimates. 
  • Experience using MS Projects, Excel and Word is required. Experience with SAP B1 is desirable but not mandatory. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and be an effective time manager, used to working to deadlines and liaising with clients 
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical abilities as well as a sound knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and codes. 
  • Create concept design drawings
  • Knowledge in estimating scaffold works

Requirements

  • Construction Industry White Card (essential)
  • Qualification as a Structural Engineer
  • Police Clearance suitable for Gold Industry (obtained within the past 12 months - essential) 
  • Drivers Licence (essential)
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol test
