About the Opportunity As the Application Analyst - Engineering Toolset you will be responsible for technical and functional software product support, maintenance and development that are managed to provide a cost effective solution to the business or customer. You will embark on training and mentoring activities that focuses on improving your skills within your role and support you in your career development. You will be engaged in developing and configuring the PLM tools to meet business requirements, providing user support and creating application user guides and process instructions. You will interact with projects personnel for requirements definition, create training course materials and training delivery, and define PLM software enhancement requirements. The IM&T and the wider team will be operating as One Team' across multiple sites and time zones, you will be expected to adopt a Smart Working' approach by being flexible in their start and finish times to maintain a work life balance. Frequent early morning meetings and evening meetings will be required to ensure we are aligned. In terms of specific responsibilities, you will: * Assess new versions of the PLM software from the supplier for benefits to the business * Provide input to decision on whether to adopt new versions of the software * Work closely with Business Analysts to develop solutions * Create and execute test plans for new software versions * Liaise with the UK based teams who support the engineering tools to receive and provide input on the management and configuration of the software * Good problem solving skills to identify root cause of issues and develop resolution to software issues About you As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have: * Experience in programming using Java * Experience in Object Orientated Analysis and Design principles. HTML/XML/CSS/JavaScript and related web based technologies * Experience in JAX-WS/JAX-RS, SOAP/RESTful web services * Experience in Spring Framework and Oracle PL/SQL will be an advantage * Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Whilst not essential, a diploma or degree in information technology or engineering and an Oracle Certified Professional or Java 8 SE, will be an advantage.
