Job Description


We are looking for a Senior Landscape Architect to join our team on a permanent full-time basis to deliver innovative, sustainable and commercially viable solutions for our clients. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our Urban Designers, Planners and Architects on a range of projects, including residential subdivisions, ongoing work for a leading fast food chain; recreation reserves & playgrounds and aged and health care facilities.


Main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: -

  • Produce innovative and sustainable design solutions for a range of projects in residential estates and mixed used developments
  • Lot yield analysis and investigation
  • Site context analysis
  • Provide accurate and timely fee proposals within Taylors guidelines upon consideration of all project outcomes;
  • Advise clients of accurate timeframes for completion of project milestones and anticipate submission requirements;
  • Consult with Council and other involved parties to obtain information relevant to submissions and project completion;
  • Attend internal and external meetings and action resultant tasks with set deadlines;
  • Attend Project Review meetings and action resultant tasks with set deadlines;
  • Collate financial data and facilitate invoicing process including project write-offs;
  • Liaise with internal units and teams to ensure optimum results for joint projects.

Desired Skills and Experience


You will need to have:

  • a degree in Landscape Architecture (or relevant discipline)
  • a strong design skill set in built/natural environment and open space strategy
  • contract administration / specification & tendering experience
  • strong horticultural knowldge and an understanding of WSUD
  • intermediate to advanced AUTOCAD, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator / InDesign skills with hand sketching skills
  • great communication skills and proven experience in successfully managing client relationships
  • an innovative and collaborative flexible approach

We anticipate that you will have had at least five years industry experience, with the ability to deliver feasible design solutions to our clients from concept to completion.
