JOB DESCRIPTION

The Client:

Our client is one of Melbourne’s well-regarded Builders who are recognized for their impressive quality of work. 

They deliver a range of volume, KDRB and townhouse build and on the back of record sales are looking to expand their Sales Estimating team. Their business is built around culture and ensuring every member of the team is well-engaged and working towards their career goals.

The Role:

  • Provide fixed costs for required site works.
  • Developing Sales Estimates across a range of Residential Projects;
  • Working cohesively within a team environment ;
  • Management and Pricing of Variations;
  • Prepare tender documents and variations including accurate pricing at all stages;
  • Produce retail costs including sufficient margins.
  • Liaise with draftspeople, engineers, builders, contractors, suppliers and project managers.
  • Read and interpret architectural, engineers plans and other relevant documentation;
  • Check on changes of design to assess the effects on costs;
  • Analyse documentation to prepare materials and labour estimates.
  • Liaising with key internal stakeholders and provide advice where required;
  • Assisting with collating data and identifying further business efficiencies and solutions;

The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Sales Estimating role or previous experience in Production would be advantageous;
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in the building industry in a similar role estimating for residential new builds in Melbourne/Australia;
  • Ability to proactively drive outcomes working collaboratively with both internal & external stakeholders;
  • Understanding of the construction process and terminology;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • A strong eye for detail with an analytical approach;
  • A diploma of Building or equivalent tertiary qualification;
