In this role you will be responsible for project delivery, design management & project management, for positioning and winning projects involving a range of services. The role will be instrumental in collaborating with commercial, project management, engineering and design technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver and operate a range of projects.
Based in our Melbourne office and reporting to the Civil & Aviation Leader for the Southern region, we have an opportunity for an experienced Drainage Engineer to join our Transport Group, to lead the drainage design with technical input and advice with respect to drainage infrastructure in accordance with client requirements. You’ll develop with limited guidance, drainage design and documentation, reports and specification of Engineering solutions in response to a client’s brief, whilst developing good relationships with colleagues and clients to ensure Jacobs delivers on agreed project oCompanyomes. Youll provide mentoring to our Global Future Talent group of engineers and take an active role with their technical development.

Here’s What You’ll Need

Strong knowledge in preparing drainage designs and deliverables for road/rail/transport & civil infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of drainage and civil design principles and methods
Good understanding of multi-disciplinary interfaces
Proficient in 12d / OpenRoads Designer Drainage
Familiar with Microstation and CAD
Active member of the team and provide design, technical assistance and advice to Project Managers / technical leads
Work as a senior / lead engineer on a range of Civil Engineering projects
Maintain accurate, accessible and organised records of all designs and follow Jacobs’ QA system
