JOB DESCRIPTION
About the Role
Lead the Production Engineering activities by establishing and managing all required manufacturing and assembly processes to improve production efficiency and business profitability. Define optimized assembly flow, analyze line balancing and provide effective solutions for material flows for manufacturing and assembly line, resolve production bottleneck and use theory of constrains methodology to optimize operational efficiency.
In alignment with the Designing team, develop product introduction and intro block change process at manufacturing environment. Coordinate, improve and control production BOM’s, develop Professional and Autonomous Maintenance Protocols and manage overall industrial assets.
This role will also develop and manage industrial projects when required and will establish machinery commissioning protocols, define OEA OEE KPIs and implement manufacturing flows.
Skills and Experience in;
- ERP / MRP systems including bills of materials
- Technical document writing including SOP’s, Work Instructions, User manuals
- Good understanding of components and parts assembly processes
- Lean Manufacturing tools and methods
- Times and Methods studies
- Good knowledge of Design for Assembly
- Quality Management Systems ISO 9001
- Continuous Improvement (TQM, Six Sigma, kaizen)
- Industrial assets management (tooling, cranes, airlines, etc)
- 5+ years of experience in Production Engineering experience in manufacturing (preferable at automotive, medical or aviation environment)
- 5+ years of technical staff management and supervision
- Calculation of line balance, detection and solution of production bottle necks and optimization of times and methods for assembly processes.
Must have:
- Degree qualification in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, production Engineering (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated application of Lean Manufacturing methods and tools
Great to have;
- Previous experience in RV industry
- Previous work in automotive industry
- Project Management working experience
- Formal qualifications in continuous improvement methodologies
- MIEAust, RPEQ, NER, CPEng Status
