About the opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Mine Site Supervisor. The role is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the acid neutralisation water treatment plant at the former Brukunga mine site. The plant intercepts and neutralises acid and metalliferous drainage from the former mine site. The Mine Site Supervisor ensures that the Brukunga site is maintained including fire prevention activities and weed control, with minimal disruption to neighbouring rural landowners and local residents. The role works under general direction as part of a small on-site team and within the Standard Operating Procedures for the site.

The incumbent must be licensed and have a high level of skill to operate a broad range of industry and process equipment (payload trucks, front loader, lifters, pumps, reactor tanks, etc)

Key selection criteria:
Experience in the operation of heavy equipment such as front end loaders and trucks and the ability to operate a range of power tools and equipment.
Experience in managing contractors.
Ability to work effectively in a small team.

OPS3 $63,681 - $67,868 per annum
Full time role, working 37.5 hours per week

Special conditions:
This is a contract role for up to 12 months.
A current SA driver’s licence, HR truck licence and a Certificate of Competence to operate load-shifting equipment (front-end loaders/backhoe) is required.
Some out of hours work is required
Required to be on-call and to attend on-site to resolve any issues that may arise when the water treatment plant is in operation.
