About the role:
Joining the company as a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the running of HVAC installations and providing technical abilities to the project. You will work within a team of engineers and will collaborate to ensure the success of each project. You will be exposed to both office based and site-based duties ensuring you will expand your skills and advance in your career.
Job tasks and responsibilities:
- Studying the project information to determine the room and ceiling spaces for mechanical services
- Confirm understanding of the brief to identify areas of duplication
- Establishing and evaluating the environmental performance
- Analysing how the systems will work
- Conception of new ideas and practical solutions for engineering problems.
- Developing specifications, equipment schedule and assist with fee and costs calculations and budget preparations
- Documenting design and writing report, procedure, instructions and operation manual
- Organising the labour and delivering the equipment for installations
- Inspecting the sites to confirm installations and preparing site inspection reports to ensure top notch performance
Technical/analytical Skills:
- Appreciation of the built environment
- Information gathering
- Basic engineering measurement techniques (for air and water flows, noise)
- Basic review and analysis
- Basic project management skills including on multiple projects
- Team work and time management
Knowledge
- Understanding Building materials characteristics
- Conservation of energy and water
- Evaluating Energy performance
- Taking Basic psychometric
- Engineering and refrigeration principles, techniques, procedures and equipment
- On-site hazards
- Protective equipment for onsite safety of the technicians and labour
Salary:
Salary for the role is between $65k to $85K package, depending on the experience.
