About the role:

Joining the company as a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the running of HVAC installations and providing technical abilities to the project. You will work within a team of engineers and will collaborate to ensure the success of each project. You will be exposed to both office based and site-based duties ensuring you will expand your skills and advance in your career.

Job tasks and responsibilities:

• Studying the project information to determine the room and ceiling spaces for mechanical services 
• Confirm understanding of the brief to identify areas of duplication
• Establishing and evaluating the environmental performance 
• Analysing how the systems will work
• Conception of new ideas and practical solutions for engineering problems.
• Developing specifications, equipment schedule and assist with fee and costs calculations and budget preparations
• Documenting design and writing report, procedure, instructions and operation manual 
• Organising the labour and delivering the equipment for installations 
• Inspecting the sites to confirm installations and preparing site inspection reports to ensure top notch performance

Technical/analytical Skills:

• Appreciation of the built environment
• Information gathering
• Basic engineering measurement techniques (for air and water flows, noise)
• Basic review and analysis
• Basic project management skills including on multiple projects
• Team work and time management

Knowledge

• Understanding Building materials characteristics
• Conservation of energy and water
• Evaluating Energy performance
• Taking Basic psychometric
• Engineering and refrigeration principles, techniques, procedures and equipment
• On-site hazards
• Protective equipment for onsite safety of the technicians and labour

Salary:

Salary for the role is between $65k to $85K package, depending on the experience.
