We at NEC are currently seeking an experienced Technical Architect to work with a our passionate team in Darwin, whilst providing advanced technical support and advice to our customer's on a permanent basis.

About the role

The Technical Architect will provide advanced technical support and guidance to our customer. Using your broad understanding of emerging technologies, the Technical Architect is a hands on role partaking in early stages of planning, solution design, implementation and configuration.

Duties

  • Qualify, develop and present propositions/solutions that meet and/or exceed the needs of the customer
  • Provide specialised technical support, expertise, guidance and consultancy to the customer and NEC management
  • Creation of architectural artefacts, including; high level designs, requirement documents, and Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Build organisational capability by leading and guiding network engineering team members training and development
  • Lead the preliminary technical engagement and analysis on bids
  • Implement and configure new and upgraded systems and solutions

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an ICT architecture or Network Engineering, preferably within an IT Services company
  • Extensive technical background that will ideally come from managed services delivery
  • Proven ability to create compelling proposals and value propositions
  • Demonstrated experience in building relationships with customers and strong negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage lengthy and complex project implementations

Qualifications

  • Certification in architecture methodologies or vendor Technologies
  • ITIL Foundations
