We are seeking a qualified Field Service A Grade Electrician, specializing in Power Generation, to work as part of our growing Field Service Team based out of our Clayton branch on a 5 x 2 roster.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you are responsible for the onsite diagnosis, service and repair of all types of Caterpillar Power Generation, Industrial, Stationary and Marine engines but mainly power generation systems.

You will be working closely with our quality customers, building solid relationships and delivering a superior service. Work hours may vary and depending on your personal circumstances, we are more than happy to work with you to find a roster that suits you.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Onsite trouble shooting, diagnostics, repair and maintenance of Caterpillar power generation systems with mechanical and electrical.
• Fitting of electrical safety equipment
• Follow all regulations and industry practices
• Completion of all required paperwork accurately and timely
• Provide workable solutions to our customers

ABOUT YOU 
 
To be considered for this role you will have the following skills, experience & attributes:

• Trade qualified ‘A Grade Electrician’
• Strong electrical and electro-mechanical skills
• Highly skilled in the servicing, maintenance and repair of generators of various types and sizes, experience working on Caterpillar equipment is highly desirable
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills of all types of electrical systems
• Good computer skills and user knowledge of laptop diagnostic software
• Hold a current drivers license and A Grade Electrical license
• Have a strong commitment to safety, health & environment procedures
• Be willing to support and assist the Mechanical Technicians when required

WHAT IS ON OFFER...an attractive salary package, including a base rate between $38 - $45 per hour (dependent on roster and skill level), plus super and tool allowances. We also offer tool loans, tool insurance and CAT parts store discounts. You will also have a monthly RDO to use at your leisure (pre-arranged and approved).
