A respectable and rapidly growing, Local Government Organisation is currently seeking an experience Traffic and Transport Engineer to join their supportive team on an initial 3-month contract role with the opportunity to extend.

Your new role
Reporting to the coordinator, you will be responsible for providing expert advice to internal stakeholders, investigate road safety issues and parking issues whilst providing recommendations, review traffic management plans, assessing and responding to internal town planning referrals, provide strong customer service as well as supporting the team by providing accurate and timely advice for a range of transport related matters.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful person will be a qualified Civil Engineer with significant Traffic and Transport Engineering experience, ideally within a Local Government environment. You will also have strong verbal and written communication skills in engaging with internal and external customers, as well as being able to identify and solve problems.
