FRANK ENGINEERING PTY LTD,  have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technologist to be part of our multidisciplinary engineering team in Melbourne. You will be required to work autonomously or with a team to develop the successful projects through clear strategy and proactive commitment nationally.

 Responsibilities:

1) Assist Mechanical engineer in consultation with occupational therapists, aims to assist many physically disadvantaged people to continue leading as independent life as possible through vehicle modifications.

2) Assist Mechanical engineer in Innovative new products, to continue improving the quality of life forphysically disadvantaged drivers.

3) Support in Design, organise and oversee the construction, operation and maintenance of mechanical and process plant and installations

4) Establish programs for the coordination of manufacturing activities, and ensure usage of resources is cost effective.

5) Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification.

6) Assist in Developing, coordinating, and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs.

7) Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering, construction, or extraction projects, and prepare contract documents.

8)Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.

9) Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.

10) Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.

11) Prepare and/or review engineering documentation, drawings and methods.

12) Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.

13) Perform personnel functions, such as supervision of production workers, technicians, technologists and other engineers, and design of evaluation programs.

14) Solicit new business and provide technical customer service.

15) Establish and coordinate the maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule, and supply of materials required to maintain machines and equipment in the prescribed condition.

16) Design test control apparatus and equipment and develop procedures for testing products.

17) Analyzing workforce utilisation, facility layout, operational data and production schedules and costs to determine optimum worker.
