Your new company
Client is state government department focused on the provision of technical and professional services for built assets for range of government agencies and departments across Queensland. They play a major role in the procurement and contract management of construction and maintenance services for the portfolio.
As result of ongoing workload, they are looking to engage the services of an experienced Mechanical (HVAC) Engineer on long term contract basis.

Your new role


  • Provide discipline specific technical input into all aspects of projects,
  • Design reviews of external consultancy design documentation at various stages,
  • Liaising with internal and external clients and undertaking meetings with key stakeholders as the primary representative of Technical Services.
  • Co-ordination with other services and management of project consultants and project team members.
  • Ability to perform site inspections and reporting.
  • Ability to manage a small team and take responsibility on projects.
  • Travel within the State to undertake site inspections and carry out other duties may be a requirement.


What you'll need to succeed
Candidates would need be tertiary qualified mechanical engineer (ideally with RPEQ) and have high level of experience with HVAC design including chilled water systems, VRF systems and DX system, ventilation and smoke exhaust and pressurisation systems as well as knowledge of sustainability and energy efficiency.
If candidates had experience of working in Government environment that would be looked at favourably for this role.
