We currently have an exciting opportunity for Engineering Technologist to join our busy Services team in our Melbourne Office based in Berwick Victoria 

 About You 
You have exceptional Engineering skills with a minimum bachelor’s degree in the Engineering and a minimum of 3 years' relevant working and project experience. 

 Duties: 
Analysing and modifying new and existing wideband and wireless engineering projects and proposing suitable design to implement the new technology. 
Preparing technical drawings for the new technology such as update external ground dimension document and draw the internal floor plan for the recommended implementation of the new service. 
Provide technical expertise, analysis and support for the ongoing management of the communications network in accordance with Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) and service agreements. 
Suggesting and discussing the weaknesses and required changes to the existing technology with the appraiser and field managers. 
Planning customer access and develop new network infrastructure. 
Communicating with service providers and introducing suppliers and vendors to service on-time delivery. 
Maintain effective lines of communication between the team and all other internal customers. 
Reviewing tasks to be completed & liaising with our technical team on the status of tasks 
Making recommendation to the customer on how to improve the existing technology and providing technical advice on achieving a cost-effective service. 
Installing and patching OFTU, Optical Fibre Joints, Cisco switches and routers, Splice tray, Patch Panels, Network Termination Units (NTU) equipment in both customer ends and exchanges.
Cutting over the base station when upgrading existing technology and troubleshooting in both customer end and exchanges in the wireless and fixed network. 
Recording and maintaining logs of the details, status of inventories and locations. 
Monitoring and testing the performance of the installed equipment on the fibre network. Troubleshooting Telstra and NBN wideband network and devices through testing procedures and reporting relevant parties. 
Preparing Wideband customer contribution quotation document when required. 
Skills 
The successful applicant will be highly motivated; results orientated, and have to meet the following criteria: 
Be committed and self-motivated, with very good organizational skills. 
An ability to self-manage tasks as required & ability to perform under pressure and within tight timeframes. 
Exceptional problem-solving skills at pace, organizational and planning skills, backed by a good technical and practical understanding. 
Ability to collaborate with other core business areas to provide an engineering service that ensures asset availability and longevity of equipment. 
Experienced at managing multiple concurrent stakeholders with the ability to constructively challenge others and negotiate successfully with internal peers, partners and contractors to positively influence decisions and improvements. 
Able to respond quickly to change and adopt a flexible/innovative approach to problems and opportunities. 

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent 
Salary: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year 
Work Eligibility: Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours
