Industry leading employer looking for 1st year plumbing apprentices

MEGT (Australia) Ltd makes Apprenticeships and Traineeships happen. If you are looking at starting your career, an Apprenticeship is a great way to receive training and skills while you are working. By combining paid work and training, you will learn some of the practical skills that we require of our team and gain nationally recognised qualifications along the way.

Our client is Australia's global shipbuilder, defence prime contractor and maritime technology partner of choice; Designing, constructing and supporting revolutionary defence and commercial vessels for the world's leading operators.

As a 1st Year Plumbing Apprentice, you will be working alongside and learning from highly experienced tradesmen. This position would suit school leavers or someone that has completed a plumbing pre-app. We are looking for a dedicated person with shiploads of enthusiasm!

Initial duties will include:

  • Assisting tradesman
  • Working on large vessels
  • Use hand and power tools, gas torches, and welding equipment with assistance

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
To be considered for this opportunity ideally you will have:

  • Drivers Licence and own transport
  • Completed Year 12 High School Education
  • Plumbing pre-app
  • Ability to demonstrate working in a team environment
  • Superior safety awareness
  • Long term career goals to grow with the company
  • Be strong in Maths and English
