Ulan West is a well-established, high production coal mining operation in the western coalfields of NSW. Located near the beautiful country town of Mudgee, the mine offers a residential lifestyle with an expected life of mine in excess of 10 years.

Reporting to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager, the Electrical Engineering Superintendent is responsible for:

• Mentoring and coaching of the sites electrical maintenance team
• Ensuring that Ulan West stays at the leading edge in relation to Development and Longwall technology
• Ensuring the statutory compliance of the electrical engineering function
• Ensuring electrical maintenance work practices and systems are consistent with the Maintenance Management System and any environmental statutory requirements
• Managing the availability, reliability and performance of electrical equipment
• Providing technical support and advice regarding electrical equipment on site
• Implementing and monitoring operational plans to support the site goals
• Assisting with development of cost effective strategies to meet legislative requirements and updates
• Adhering to budget requirements.

With a certificate of competency and current practicing certificate to be appointed as a Manager of Electrical Engineering in the NSW coal industry and knowledge of SAP, the successful applicant will have demonstrated expertise in applying risk management principles to ensure safe work practices and statutory requirements are adhered to.
