Qualified Painter | Newcastle Area | Current Projects | Long & Short Term Opportunities |

Hays Trades and Labour are currently seeking a Painter to join their team for a role based in the Newcastle area.

Your new role
You will be required to protect, maintain and decorate surfaces of buildings and structures.
Your duties will include a variety of tasks such as:

  • Erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering
  • Preparing surfaces by removing old paint, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces
  • Selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives
  • Applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays
  • Cleaning equipment and work areas

What you'll need to succeed
  • Certificate lll or 4 years relevant experience
  • Reliable Vehicle and licence
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Have all tools required
  • Good Initiative and a motivated attitude towards your work
