Electrical Automation Engineer 4 month project | Thomastown area $55-60ph - dependent on experience


Your new company
Our client is fast becoming a front-runner in the industrial electrical space, as well as providing first class service when it comes to automated, turn-key technology. They boast a progressive and dynamic team that embodies a blend of youthful and extensively experienced Electrical and Automation Engineering experts. Due to their increase in project work across VIC, they are in search of a highly skilled Automation Engineer to assist with significant workloads. The successful candidate will work from the Head Office, located in the Thomastown area, and occasionally on-site in regional VIC (Ballarat).

Your new role
Your new role will embody the notion “no two days are the same”, offering plenty of challenges that will demand you to utilise the full spectrum of your skills and expertise in Siemens PLC programming, SCADA systems and HMI screens, instrumentation and VSDs (variable speed drives).

As valued member of a high performing Automation team, this role will not only test your capabilities in design, development and implementation of automated control systems, but it will also offer you opportunities to travel both locally within Australia and overseas.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical and/or Engineering At least 2-3 years’ quality experience in Industrial Automation A Grade Electrical Licence OR Restricted Electrical Licence
  • PLC programming expertise – Siemens preferred – Omron & Allen-Bradley highly favourable
  • Experience with Instrumentation and VSDs (Variable Speed Drives)
  • Proven success of developing and commissioning HMI Screens and SCADA Systems
  • Flexibility to and willingness to travel – within Australia and overseas
