Azure cloud engineer job, Parramatta, Government agency, 4-month contract, $950 p/d + Super

A Job is available at a Government Organisation based in Parramatta for an Azure cloud engineer on a 4-month contract. Due to ongoing initiatives the organisation requires an Azure cloud engineer to work in one of the highest performing project teams in the government sector.

Your new role
Your job as a Azure cloud engineer you will assist with the management, support, and oversight of the virtual server environments and business continuity processes during the lifespan of this project. You will assist with managing, maintaining, monitoring and securing (including data security) of all servers including installations, upgrades, patches and documentation.

What you'll need to succeed
As well as a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Azure cloud engineer role or similar you will be expected to possess the following skills/ experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology and/or Computer Science; or equivalent.
• Experience and proven success in Azure design, support and management within a large-scale organization.
• Proven expert knowledge of virtual application delivery technologies and virtual desktop infrastructures including knowledge of disaster recovery concepts.
• Experience with backup technologies
• Extensive experience developing and/or managing software source code.
• Experience as a build and deployment Engineer using industry standard tools.
• Extensive experience setting up and configuring build servers and build agents.
• Experience with deployment tools and virtual lab management.
• Experience supporting and documenting build and configuration changes throughout environments.
• Understanding of industry standard system architecture and system management tools.
• Experience in the design, deployment, and support of large, complex systems.
• Ongoing management of configuration and layout of VMware virtual infrastructure.
• Direct/indirect experience on Analytics tools & products
