Quantity surveyor / estimator required for unique and new role as 'Quantity Surveyor and Digital Manager'.


A very good client of mine, one of which I thoroughly enjoy working with as the employee feedback is excellent..

Our client is a civil contractor that has record months with back to back record years, turning over $500m they are expanding while many absorb. They require a quantity surveyor / estimator for a new strategic role to build a new part of the business, as a Quantity Surveyor and Digital Manager.
With a strong project port folio, a fantastic client base, and repeat business, our client is looking to create this role to support their estimating department. Long term they are looking for this appointment to build a team to support their different businesses nationally. With brand new offices, and having appointed some senior staff from Tier 1 backgrounds they are in an excellent position for the next few years.

Local Australian experience is unfortunately essential, due to knowing the local standards. This will not be overlooked. You will have worked with a recognised civil contractor, builder of consultancy, Tier 1,2 or 3. You may have worked on roads, subdivisions, water or rail projects for example.

Your new role - Establish and lead a dedicated quantification team to support the precontracts function within all of the companies divisions. - Assist in upskilling the precontract teams in management of digital data - Hand on leadership role - Ability to work autonomously and across multiple project interfacing with numerous bid leaders and estimators - Good communication skills - Experience working Bluebeam, Autocad - 3D Earthworks packages such as Pro Contractor or similar highly desirable - Experience in a precontracts or construction environment advantage but not essential - Process driven and good attention to detail

What you'll need to succeed
All candidates must have a construction related degree. You will have between 4+ years experience. You must have local Australian experience, ideally Melbourne. Roads, freeways, water, civil works on large commercial developments. You will have outstanding communication skills. You will be confident and driven, smart and loyal.
