Bricklayer - Masters of Masonry Pty Ltd

Masters of Masonry are looking for an experienced Brick/Block & Stonelayer in the inner Melbourne City and Outer Suburbs to join our friendly crew.

This role will include all aspects of bricklaying, blocklaying & stonelaying, and core filling mostly in the commercial sector.

Full-time & Ongoing for the right person.

At least 3-5 years’ experience qualified as a Bricklayer & Stonelayer.

Requirements:-

• Hold a White Card & working with Children Check
• Own transport and able to get yourself to and from work – Melbourne Metro
• Relevant training and licences
• Experienced in reading plans and specifications as modular pods are used for second storey buildings
• Able to cut bricks/blocks and stone if required
• Wide understanding of Stonework necessary
• Must be reliable, neat, consistent and able to work well in a team environment

Bricklayers Duties:-

• Interpreting work orders and determining the materials required.
• Measuring distance from reference points.
• Calculating angles and determining the vertical and horizontal alignment of courses.
• Laying bricks using mortar as a binder and a trowel to level.
• Fastening bricks with wire clamps or cement.
• Working safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights.
• Using equipment and tools effectively to perform basic construction tasks.
• Set up and clean up end of day.
