About the team

The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.

The opportunity

Right now, we have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Team Leader to join us in Regional Maintenance team within the Central West district. Depending on your location preference we are open to Orange or Bowenfels as your headquarters. Leading a small crew on site, the area of operation will include road widening, new construction build activities such as smoothing out roads and heavy patching works, to name a few.

You will be responsible for planning, assisting and organising road construction crew, and the activities on the project, keeping the team moving safely and productively. You will ensure the crew follows quality systems and employs safe methods of work, as well as:

  • Problem evaluation and continuous improvement processes
  • Conflict resolution and team development
  • Record keeping
  • Supervision of minor contracts associated with team’s activities

About you

You are a passionate leader and safety professional looking for a new opportunity to lead and develop a newly established, diverse crew. You will be an excellent communicator and influencer combined with proven ability to follow appropriate safe working procedures.

You will have a deep understanding of operating and leading road work crews, and experience working with different materials and the plant required to build roads.

We want you to be your best, and will provide you with opportunities to work flexibly, and develop your skills in an organisation truly like no other.

You must hold a White card and valid driver license.

Salary and Benefits

The wage for this position is Team Leader Grade 1 ($ 1,376.90) per week plus super + allowances per the award.
