About The Opportunity

Are you seeking a role that encompasses equipment reliability analysis, integration and interaction with diversely skilled teams, and additionally - career satisfaction? We have the opportunity for you!

Kwinana Refinery are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join our team. The working roster is a day role Monday through Friday, with one leisure day every four-week period.

You will play a key part in supporting our Refinery through:

  • Identifying long term opportunities for improvement through a focus on equipment reliability, improving plant capacity, and technical expertise.
  • Providing single point accountability for engineering support in the day-to-day operations.
  • Being a catalyst and contributing to improvements in Operation Area performance in both the short and long term
Your role as a Reliability Engineer will be challenging and diverse, and require a strong customer focus with contribution to:
  • Leading root cause analysis investigation of failures,
  • Developing work scopes for major equipment repairs using fitness for service approaches,
  • Developing and improving equipment management strategies using a suite of reliability approaches,
  • Involvement with Capital Projects, and
  • Safety leadership; the corner stone of Alcoa operations!

About You

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
  • A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, with previous experience in maintenance, reliability or plant engineering highly regarded,
  • The ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation, crucial within our dynamic team environment.
  • The desire to learn new skills and be self-motivated,
  • Sound track record in pro-active problem solving with your use of initiative and a desire to continuously improve business performance
  • Passion and commitment to Environment, Health and Safety in the workplace.
