Our client based in the Northern Territory and established in 2010, are a locally owned and operated electrical contracting service, delivering high quality electrical contracting services across the construction, civil, defence and mining sectors.


The Opportunities

With a preference to reside in Darwin or the ability of a 3/1 FIFO roster, our client boasts a proven capacity to design, construct and deliver high and low voltage underground and overhead reticulation, RMU and transformer installations, urban development, commercial, and local and federal government projects.

The Tasks Ahead

With a recognised Electrical Engineering degree and preferably a working career as an Electrical Engineer, you have become skilled in working across differing environments and your ability to multi-task calmly and efficiently as well as prioritise your workload sees you as a great co-worker to have on their team.



Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or a degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Must have full rights to work within Australia
  • Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in the application of standards, detailed knowledge of current electrical standards, the development of conceptual and detailed design, and design management of Electrical infrastructure – Defence industry experience is an advantage
  • Undertake (or lead) field and desktop investigations related to the condition, appropriateness, and capacity of existing electrical infrastructure related to capital upgrades
  • Prepare detailed documentation and specification requirements for Electrical components in order to support procurement and delivery of allocated projects
  • Technical and commercial acumen with a focus on successful outcomes for our projects and our clients
  • High levels of personal integrity, and a desire for continued professional development and improvement as an engineering professional
  • Manage the identification and resolution of project safety risks through contemporary Safety in Design methods, ensuring legislative compliance
  • Good communicating skills with constructors, commissioning engineers, operators and maintainers, and with people working in different disciplines.
  • Undertake all responsibilities in a safe manner
  • Must have CAD experience
  • Good interfacing skills with client and electrical authorities
  • Excellent knowledge of Australian Standards
