UniGrain has a proud and successful record as a cereal, grain and animal nutrition miller. With over 120 dedicated employees, UniGrain mills from both its Victorian and West Australian mills with a focus on the manufacture of oat cereal product for breakfast cereal markets across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and South Africa.

We are seeking an Electrician to join the dedicated team at our Wagin, WA site. This permanent full time role works day shift Monday to Friday, with overtime as required.

Reporting to the Leading Hand, Maintenance, you will be responsible for the maintenance of all electrical networks and wiring, conduits and other electrical devices on the site.

As our Electrician is required to work within the Mill for a large amount of time, this role is not suitable for those who are asthmatic or suffer from severe hay fever or allergies.

To be successful in this position you will have the following:

  • 3 years or more experience
  • An Electrical Trade Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Experience in industrial electrics, including motor control, variable frequency drives, PLC, automation and instrumentation
  • Working knowledge of mechanical equipment and the skills to maintain and repair the equipment
  • Conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Fault-finding and installation skills
  • Ability to problem solve for root cause resolution
  • Strong customer focus and team orientation
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Boiler operating qualifications (or be willing to obtain them)
  • A forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
  • An EWP ticket (desirable but not essential)
  • A current Drivers Licence and your own reliable transport
Remuneration between $35 to $40/hr will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing prior to commencing with UniGrain.
