About the role

Mater Health currently has an exciting opportunity for a Quality & Safety Manager - Projects to join the team This opportunity will be offered in a permanent and part time (19 hours per week).

In this critical role you will provide support to the Mater Health Ministry in delivering safe and high-quality care, clinical Mater is committed to creating an organisational culture that values safety, identifies system vulnerabilities, and clearly integrates risk, quality and safety functions and activities. Reporting directly to the Director of Clinical Governance, you will be responsible for activities relating to Quality and Clinical Safety Management, and accreditation, across Mater Health, which are essential to our licensing, service level agreements and contracts.

Salary range: Commensurate with experience

What you’ll be doing

This is a state-wide role focused on quality systems, consumer experience and managing clinical risk/safety. This role will work collaboratively with staff and managers/clinicians to ensure quality governance systems are in place, clinical risk frameworks are functioning effectively, and there is a continuous improvement cycle in the delivery of high-quality healthcare. This role has a projects/portfolio focus, with ASNZS4187 (Reusable Medical Devices) as a specific area of specialty focus.

About you

You will have demonstrated success in a similar role in a large and complex organisation, coupled with the below:

Relevant qualification and/or substantial work experience (greater than 5 years) in managing organisational clinical governance/quality systems at a group-wide, state-wide or national level; and
Relevant qualifications and/or substantial work experience in managing ASNZS4187 assessment, implementation and monitoring at a state-wide level.
