My client is a reputable supplier of solar and battery storage products, covering the residential, commercial and utility scale markets. They have a strong emphasis on providing excellent service and building lasting customer relationships.

About the Role

The role is to provide pre-sales solar and battery storage technical expertise and training to key customer accounts. The successful candidate will be a key member of the technical sales team, with excellent communication skills and ideally previous exposure in the solar industry. You will provide an exceptional level of customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-sales technical support for residential and commercial/business customer accounts
  • work on quality design and minimal post sales technical support issues
  • Pre- and post-sales management of technical account engagements
  • Strong engagement and feedback/input to Product Management team on identified product/technical issues identified along with recommendations for product improvement
  • Work with the Sales Managers to deliver the highest level of quality field/customer technical support
  • Working closely with sales team to determine appropriate prioritization of account/project opportunities relative to available technical resources and ensure close coordination and communication with the customer
  • Manage the future pipeline of projects ensuring their is an appropriate level of pre-sales design and technical support
  • Collaborating closely with Product Management on broad based technical tools and training and drive adoption through the sales team and distributors
Skills and Experience
  • A degree in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • CEC Design and/or Installation accreditation (including practical experience with distributed PV solar and energy storage applications)
  • Experience in PV engineering/construction technical pre-sales support
  • PV and energy storage industry knowledge and expertise, following trends and identifying competitive advantages and new opportunities
  • Strong networking and communication knowledge for troubleshooting
  • Commercial or Residential PV design expertise and experience a must.
  • Detailed understanding of PV and energy storage system performance preferred
  • Electrical licence is a bonus
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally, domestically and at times internationally as needed to support needs of the business
