JOB DESCRIPTION

Naval Group Australia (NGA) is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Attack Class submarine program. The largest and most ambitious defence acquisition program Australia has ever undertaken. Professional challenges don’t come any bigger than this.

Responsible for all quality activities related to the Ship Management Systems, the QA Engineer will play a pivotal role within the broader ship management team, striving for quality and continuous improvement of the Control Systems and Engineering Monitoring Systems.

 

More specifically, the Quality Assurance Engineer will:

  • Implement the Quality Assurance Management Plan and related policies.
  • Ensure the relevant tools and means are available and used in the correct way.
  • Ensure that the plans are consistent with Naval Group standards and policies.
  • Be responsible for the implementation of the activities in Australia.
  • Be responsible for Technical Data Management and manage the records.
  • Participate in the improvement process of the Quality Management System.

 

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in Control Systems and Software Engineering in the SCADA/PLC domain.
  • Proficiency with Requirement Engineering (essential) and Test Engineering (desirable).
  • Tertiary degree or equivalent in Engineering.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with technical standards, as well as ISO 9001.

 

The job will be based in Adelaide, South Australia but may require some travel (interstate or overseas).
