The Software Quality Automation Engineer will join the team located in Mulgrave, Victoria. This site is home to an outstanding Technology and Innovation Support Centre, which is for the research, design and development of next generation products. This position will be led by the Software Quality Manager. It will provide leadership and support to a team of Software Testers such that they can execute the tests inline with plan requirements.

Other duties will include setting up the Test Automation infrastructure and automating workflows using various tools, working with the development teams and quality assurance leadership to come up with appropriate test automation strategies for the various parts of our applications across multiple software platforms and consolidating a variety of data sources to identify and drive improvement to enhance product quality and overall customer experience.

The successful candidate will be a self motivated problem solver with a positive can do demeanour and a results oriented approach who is willing to take accountability and works well in a team environment.

This Candidate Will Also Have

  • A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering / equivalent
  • 5+ years total experience including software development and software test automation, we expect to see experience with:
  • software and coding concepts, experience with coding languages like C#, Java, Javascript, Python, Visual Basic
  • one or more test automation tools (e.g. TestComplete and Protractor)
  • creating Test Automation infrastructure (Jenkins pipelines/Virtual Machines)
  • source control systems (e.g. Git)
  • software test automation strategies
  • fixing and problem-solving skills
  • leading a team
  • Understanding of the project cycle, test processes and tools such as JIRA
