This opportunity focuses on delivering range capability at Air Force Test and Weapons Ranges across Australia.

The Engineering Manager will work with the team to apply advanced technical theories, methodologies, principles and expertise to provide innovative solutions to the current phase of the project, taking cognisance of cost and schedule constraints whilst ensuring adherence to processes. The role will be required to manage all duties of project Engineering Management, process control, coordination, configuration control and standardization utilising ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness that will ensure that cost and schedule constraints are managed.

Key Responsibilities
Create verification statements for requirements.
Perform systems analysis to derive function, performance and interface requirements.
Perform system design activities (including trade studies) to ensure that the system architecture is compatible with the baselined product and is consistent across all subsystems and that the system design will meet the system level performance requirements.
Perform technical risk analysis as required.
Participate in major reviews throughout the lifecycle (e.g. preliminary design review, detailed design review, and test readiness review) as well as participating in peer reviews.
Skills, Experiences and Qualifications
Tertiary Qualification in relevant engineering discipline
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) (desirable)
Experience in Systems Engineering involving one or more of the following: requirements definition, requirements management, analysis, design, verification and validation
Ability to work autonomously or with minimal supervision and deliver completed work on schedule
Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain up to a Negative Vetting Level 2 Security Clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
This position can be located in either Mawson Lakes in SA or Williamtown NSW.
