JOB DESCRIPTION

Calibre Group is a diversified Professional Services and Construction specialist. We provide a broad scope of engineering, consulting, construction, project delivery and management services across Australia and New Zealand.

Our Urban Development project portfolio spans master planned communities, large-scale subdivisions, medium-density townhouses, retirement villages, industrial, commercial, civic and public infrastructure projects. Our clients are varied and diverse and include developers looking to maximise their land’s development, government agencies creating or improving public infrastructure and community spaces, and institutional and corporate owners expanding their portfolio or refurbishing existing assets.

As a Civil Drafter you will work alongside our Engineers and Project Managers on a variety of Urban Development projects. Day to day your duties will include;

  • Preparation and documentation of technical drawings
  • Prepare detailed civil structures (pits, headwalls, culverts, retaining walls, concrete pavement drawings and similar).
  • Undertaking drafting tasks as guided by Senior Designers and Engineers
  • Perform peer review of models and drawing sets in accordance with Calibre and client standards

The successful applicant will have experience in a similar role with experience working on both greenfield and brownfield projects as well as;

  • Be highly proficient in AutoCAD
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and also within a team environment; and
  • Knowledge and experience in 12D / Civil 3D, GIS and BIM software would be advantageous
  • A relevant certificate/diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
