As a Senior Voice Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation, support & ongoing maintenance of our client’s telephony and ancillary systems. You will be working as an SME in telephony & contact centre technologies utilising your experience on Mitel Connect (Formally ShoreTel), Mitel MiVoice Business or Direct Routing Microsoft Teams platforms.


In this role you will:

  • Provide day to day operational support for voice infrastructure and services
  • Provide escalated technical support, troubleshooting and fault rectification of technical issues related to Auto and General voice infrastructure
  • Work on tasks as assigned whilst keeping stakeholders well informed.
  • Monitoring, tuning, and performing trend analysis of the responsible systems together with backup and recovery (planned and unplanned)
  • Acting on system security events and violations.
  • Systems administration, maintenance, upgrades and patching of existing systems and networks is implemented according to Service Level and Quality targets and to agreed expectations.
  • Significant experience in relevant system, administration, operations, support and solutions implementation coupled with relevant tertiary qualifications or industry certifications.
  • Hands on installation of physical & virtual devices & upgrading environments.
  • Working directly or indirectly with T1-T3 Carriers for SIP Trunks
  • Strong hands-on problem-solving skills and knowledge with hardware and software across the following technologies:
  • Mitel Connect (Formally ShoreTel)
  • MiVoice Business
  • AudioCodes SBC
  • VMWare & HyperV Virtual machine installation and maintenance
  • General knowledge of DECT infrastructure
  • Direct Routing Microsoft Teams
  • SIP
  • Networking
  • Knowledge of systems security administration practices, standards and policies.
  • Mitel Connect & MiVoice Business relevant Certificates
  • Knowledge of Monitoring Services (SolarWinds).
  • Ability to manage requests and problems at once and to be able to work within prioritised frameworks.
  • Previously worked for a Managed Service Provider an advantage
