We are a privately-owned consultancy that takes pride in providing a service-orientated culture, offering over 40 years of combined expertise and knowledge relating to civil, structural, water, resource management, traffic and transport engineering, and project management.

With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, our newly established Sunshine Coast office requires a motivated and passionate Civil Engineer to join the team. You will have the opportunity to support the delivery of work packages relating to the design of civil structures across a range of market sectors.

You will also be exposed to business development and have the chance to grow into a role that includes being involved in writing proposals, pricing projects and continuing to develop your professional network.

You will be part of a growing office with a great culture that includes regular team events and social activities. The opportunity for performance bonuses and profit-sharing as well as flexible work arrangements. Salary is negotiable based upon qualifications and expreience.

Key components of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Working on civil projects across various sectors, which includes being responsible for the technical delivery.
  •  Develop skills in business development including preparation of proposals

The Candidate

Applications are sought from candidates with the following attributes:

  • 3-5 years of experience working as a civil engineer in the Australian market.
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering and ideally qualified or working towards CPEng/RPEQ certification.
  • Exposure to a broad range of engineering issues and concepts.
  • Knowledge of systems and procedures relating to the role, including practical knowledge, principles, methods of engineering, relevant codes, standards, and engineering legislation.
  • Ability to use information technology, including AutoCAD, 12D, XPSWMM, Microsoft Office Programs, and any other applicable software packages.
  • Effective communicator and negotiator, with an ability to liaise with clients, colleagues, Government Agencies, and management.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective networks with internal stakeholders, contractors, and industry colleagues.
  • Strong time management with an ability to multi-task, prioritise work, plan workload, meet deadlines and achieve set objectives.
  • Flexible and can work within a fast-paced environment while driving solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving abilities using logic to analyse and identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts associated with information or data to draw conclusions.
  • Ability to prepare status reports and handle large volumes of documentation.
  • Takes pride in work and demonstrates accountability for areas of responsibility and outcomes.
