We are looking for an innovator and problem solver in our Melbourne Transport Structures team who will be responsible for providing technical input and direction in the design, rehabilitation and management of civil infrastructure, particularly for bridge structures. At the Principal level, you will be required to direct large design teams on major projects, as well as mentoring less experienced engineers and take an active role in their technical development.

Skills And Experience Required

Here’s What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor level degree
  • Chartered Professional Engineer
  • Experience in Project Management tools
  • Understanding of technical standards for design, construction and maintenance
  • Previous technical experience in discipline(s) relevant to design, including civil and bridges structures design.
  • Significant experience on large projects desirable
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Mentoring and coaching design team members
  • Confidence (able to challenge when required and appropriate)
  • Desire to achieve high quality outputs and deliver excellent service
