Primary Objectives
Performing, and coordinating trades-based maintenance work including daily workshop activities, meeting operational demands and complying with standards, regulations and performance objectives. Keeping up to date with fleet systems technological change and advanced diagnostic and repair requirements for new buses and assisting with technical support to the depots and other trade staff where required.
About You
- Ideally you will have at least 3 years’ experience as a Heavy Vehicle Auto Electrician
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service orientated
- Work autonomously and as part of a Team
About the Role
- Conducts routine servicing of electrical systems on the bus fleet.
- Completes unscheduled repairs and maintenance.
- Attends breakdowns and performs required repairs to enable bus to be returned to depot.
- Completes pre-inspection of vehicles for RMS inspection.
- Completes repairs on changeover components.
- Adheres to relevant company policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, Equal Opportunity and other aspects of the business.
- Any other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Relevant Trade Certificate
- Relevant experience in trade.
- Be self-motivated
- Be able to undertake shift work’ including weekends, based on operational demands of workshop
- Possession of current ‘Heavy Rigid’ class vehicle license (Desirable)
