We currently are on the hunt for successful 2nd - 4th Year to continue their Carpentry Apprenticeship with a reputable builder, full time, located all around Canberra.
The Role:
This opportunity secures your career within the Residential and Commercial Building Industry. You will be required to attend TAFE and complete a Certificate III in Carpentry, whilst gaining valuable experience in a highly supportive environment. The successful candidate will be supported throughout the Apprenticeship, meaning you have on-going mentoring and guidance whilst working and completing your training whenever you need it.
Primary Duties:
Learn all aspects of residential building/carpentry trade, as well as work with other trades
Use Carpentry and construction tools and equipment
Framing and fix out carpentry
Kitchen cabinetry and joinery
Factory and onsite installation
Demolition, rubbish removal
General labour
Handle and move building materials on site
Drive company van to run errands/ deliveries
Learn to read and interpret plans and specifications
Carry out measurements and calculations
Maintain Health and Safety onsite
Candidate Requirements:
Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Must have current Drivers Licence and own vehicle
Have White Card or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
Hold your Certificate in Asbestos Awareness
Be willing to learn all aspects of the trade and listen to instruction
Positive attitude and self-motivated
Ability to work as a valued member of a team
Well-presented and punctual
