The role of BDM at ENGIE plans and implements the pursuit of strategic opportunities for the Fire / Mechanical Services business by cultivating partnerships, identifying new markets for the Business’ services and projects, as well as achieve designated sales targets within deadlines and increase sales activities, revenues and margin into the Business.

Role Overview

  • Create a business development plan to identify, evaluate, and structure key transactions to ensure continued financial health and maximum value creation through the entire product life cycle.
  • Develop and implement relationship management plans for potential customer accounts
  • Prospecting for new business by identify and build relationships with relevant decision makers and influencers within potential, new and existing customer organisations
  • Develop a personal network within the sales territory and represent the organisation at events/ meetings / tender submissions to identify sales opportunities, promote the organisation and enhance its reputation.
  • Collaborate internally and work as the customer champion in cross-functional teams to build strong external and internal customer relationships
  • Collect and collate customer information that has been gathered through research into the customer relationship management system or other data bases.
  • Identify sales opportunities, promote the organisation and enhance its reputation

Qualifications

Requirements to be successful

  • Substantial experience in Building Services industry ideally in Mechanical and Fire Protection Services
  • Engineer Qualifications highly regarded
  • Persistence and a need for achievement
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with working with budgets or analysing business data
