JOB DESCRIPTION

My client is a North American privately held IT automation and security company based in California. The company focuses on managing and identifying devices connected to networks— specifically Domain Name System and IP address management.


They are now looking for a dedicated and driven Enterprise Senior Sales Engineer to join the ANZ sales team in Melbourne. This role will report into the SE Director also based in Australia.


This person is a self-motivated, customer-focused technical sales professional that will provide pre-sales consulting, solution advisory and hands-on assistance to customers and partners. The Sr SE will engage the customer directly to firstly understand the customer business problem, then recommend effective design and solutions based on the clients offerings.


This role requires the candidate to work effectively as a business partner to sales team and assist with revenue target responsibilities. They will have autonomy over their assigned territories and accounts and run it like it was their business.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and drive sales growth across the major Enterprise accounts
  • Lead key account sales, constantly build sales pipeline and cultivate new business opportunity
  • Develop strategic account plans focused on maintaining/growing accounts
  • Prepare and present accurate forecasts, tracking and sales plans
  • Collaborate with presales, channel and engineering team to identify and address customer’s business needs, challenges and technical requirements
  • Leverage external partner to drive solution development in new areas/prospect


Requirements

  • 10 to 15 years in successful Enterprise technology pre-sales or working in IT security and networking business.
  • Proven track record in selling IT solutions to the FSI industry
  • Strong knowledge of cloud, virtualization, SD-WAN, network security, threat intelligence solutions and landscape
  • Good understanding of TCP IP stack and networking principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Engaged, positive attitude, ability to prioritize in demanding environment
  • Create solutions that creatively address customer value chain and business requirement
  • Must be comfortable working in a start-up environment, where rolling up your sleeves and a get it done attitude is necessary




Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
