We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who will be an expert of the DevOps methodology and work to implement and expand it at Nuix. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the development of DevOps processes including coding standards, technical documentation standards, QA processes, build, and configuration management. Ensure that such practices and other official Nuix Engineering processes are followed. 
  • Maintain a class-leading DevOps culture across Nuix. 
  • Implement and maintain Configuration Management system. 
  • Implement and own our DevOps system to create QA and Performance Testing environments in Linux and Windows. 
  • Build and maintain installation packages for Linux and Windows. 
  • Manage large data sets for use by the Dev and QA teams for building and testing the product. 
  • Implement and maintain a monitoring solution for the dev and QA infrastructure. 
  • Manage technical relationships with component suppliers. 
  • Identify opportunities to file patent applications. 
  • Provide a reliable and performant DevOps service to Nuix feature teams, criteria for the service will be established and refined on an ongoing basis. 
  • Provide BAU operational support of the DevOps service. 
  • Assist with the selection of talent and planning/allocating resources across multiple geographies and functions. 

Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Degree in a relevant field such as computer science/engineering, software engineering, machine learning, mathematics or related quantitative discipline and five or more years of experience. 
  • IT experience with a successful track record and demonstrated influence and partnership 
  • Familiar with cutting edge industry trends and understanding of development methodologies and standards. 
  • Advanced level capabilities as pertains to all phases of testing within the SDLC. 
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms and SaaS. 
  • Experience with AWS, VirtualBox, VMWare, Hyper-V. 
  • DevOps experience with Linux and Windows. 
  • Configuration Management Experience. (Terraform / Ansible is preferred). 
  • Experience with CI and issue tracking software (Jenkins, Bamboo, JIRA, Confluence). 
  • Experience with building installation packages (Windows, Debian, Redhat). 
  • Familiarity with Java, Python, Ruby, Groovy, Scala, Bash, and Powershell. 
  • Hadoop, Spark, Splunk, MongoDB experience. 
  • Possess Architecture and Design skills in particular related to DevOps and Performance testing.
