JOB DESCRIPTION

DA Bricklaying delivers professional brick and block laying services for residential homes, retaining walls, fences, fireplaces, architectural work and much more. We cover most of Melbourne’s Northern Suburbs with the odd job elsewhere across Victoria.

We are looking for 2 people to join our team, a qualified Bricklayer and an experienced Bricklaying Labourer. Both positions require someone who has a passion for bricklaying and always delivers high standards, taking pride in the work they do and what they produce.

Bricklayer position can quickly progress into a leading hand/supervisor role for the right person. Labourer position is required to support a fast-paced team.

Bricklayer applicants will possess:

  • A minimum Cert III in Bricklaying or 3+ years of relevant employment experience
  • A Construction Induction Training (White Card)
  • Own transport, hand tools and all required PPE
  • Ability to read and work from plans and specifications
  • The ability to work well within a team and work autonomously
  • Attention to detail and can take
  •  direction
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude!

Labourer applicants will possess:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of relevant labouring experience within the bricklaying industry
  • A Construction Induction Training (White Card)
  • Own transport and all required PPE
  • Ability to judge timing of situations and know when things need to be done, without being asked for e.g. when more mud/bricks are needed
  • The ability to work well within a team and work autonomously
  • Attention to detail and can take direction
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude!

 Both of these are full-time positions, hours 7.00am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday and regular weekend work. This role will start as a subcontractor with ABN, then once your work is proven, moving onto full-time wages, including super.
