Brisbane Prestige Property Developments (BPPD) is a greater Brisbane based company specialising in Property Developments.

This role for a full-time Quantity Surveyor could be the opportunity of a lifetime.

Our firm specialises in Cost Planning, Tender Analysis, Post Contract and a range of other services for diverse projects across all sectors of the building and property industry.

If you have 2+ years local experience and an outstanding track record in all aspects of the project lifecycle, then this could be the right role for you.

Skills And Experience

• Tertiary degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years industry experience;
• Commercial construction and development experience preferred but not essential;
• Advance level proficiency in Cost Estimating, Project Planning and Project Controls
• Knowledge of the local construction and property development industry including contracting and consulting sectors;
• Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  
  • Identifying the most efficient and relevant construction methods, materials, taking into consideration quality standards
  • Planning and interpreting, drawings, specifications, and construction methods
  • Being able to efficiently organise the delivery of construction materials and manage on site activity through comprehensive construction programs.
  • Understanding soil and rock compositions on site to be able to determine the safe load limit for the soil
  • The analysis of architectural and engineering drawings and specifications to determine an estimate of total costs
  • Formulating and interpreting comprehensive cost plans and estimates
  • Assessing how design changes will affect cost and timing
  • Measuring, negotiating, and valuing design change proposals
  • Calculating static and dynamic loads for structural systems
  • Oversee the relevant consultants to ensure the designs will not collapse, bend, twist or vibrate
  • Understanding the relevance of future travel flow patterns to structure construction
  • Feasibility Studies for project; ensuring that project is completed on time and on budget
• • Preparation of Detailed Cost Plan after obtaining Development Application documentations
  • Coordinating / Managing multiple projects during D.A., Pre-Construction and Construction
  • Working with Consultants & Construction teams on resolving compliance issues and detailing
  • Facilitating all Development Application expediently, pro-actively and intuitively and engaging with Vendors, Consultants, Engineers and anyone associated with our Projects efficiently transparently and effectively
  • Prepare BOQ for Subcontractors
  • Prepare project estimates including civil and commercial construction
  • Overseeing current tenders, update and maintain project register
• Must own a car and have current driver's license.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
