Job Summary

  • Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
  • Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.
  • Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
  • Under direct supervision, may complete design assignments of limited complexity.
  • Limited familiarity with codes, permits, and software applications related to the discipline.
  • Introduced to the process of preparing designs and drawings using project specifications and discipline-associated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of the purpose and use of vendor documents.
  • Introduced to the process of performing material take-offs for the discipline.


Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum TAFE Certificate III in Engineering – Technical
  • An aptitude towards good logic, problem solving and strong organisational skills
  • An interest in and a desire to pursue a career in CAD and the Built Environment Consultancy industry
  • Solid technical and communication skills
  • Good AutoCAD / Revit / and/or GIS skills as well as attention to detail and familiar with file naming and filing conventions either via previous work experience or personal development
  • Good Microsoft Office skills essential such as Word & Excel
  • You should have an Interest in environmental design from concept to detailed stages.
  • Ability to deliver CAD requirements to the team, and successfully manage time to meet project deadlines
  • A hard working and highly self-motivated individual with excellent communication and good grasp of maths and the English language.
  • Client focused with good interpersonal skills and team approach willing to contribute to project success.
  • You will be able to demonstrate experience or understanding of Health and Safety compliance.


Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Environmental Design or completion of / progress towards a Landscape Architecture Degree
