Do you have experience in civil construction? Are you an experienced concreter looking to make a visible difference in the community?

About the Role:

We are excited to be offering an opportunity for experienced concreters (Civil Labourers) to join our motivated City Works team in a permanent role and relief list capacity.

You will support the team by assisting with concrete formwork construction, undertaking concreting works and using different concrete finishes. You will also use your good communication skills to work effectively as part of the team and with the general public.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Construction Induction Training Certificate (White Card)
  • Strong focus on safety, to keep you, your team and the commuity safe
  • A strong commitment to your work and a strong team work ethic

This position involves undertaking repetitive manual tasks relating to construction and general civil maintenance activities. Applicants should be suitably fit to undertake the duties as outlined in the job description. The position is also based on a 9 day fortnight with a regular roster day and may include overtime and weekend work as required.

The Relief List will fill temporary roles on an as-needs basis, with typical contracts ranging from one (1) week to 6 (six) months work across the Wollongong Local Government Area. Placement will be offered through rotation on the list.
