Duratec Australia is a multi-disciplined builder and maintenance contractor with 15 branches across Australia servicing the Mining, Oil and Gas, Marine industries along with Government and Defence assets and Commercial Infrastructure including heritage buildings.

THE ROLE

We are currently seeking an experienced Working Site Supervisor with a remediation background to join our growing Victorian team based out of our office in Glen Iris and working on various sites around the Melbourne CBD area. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be primarily responsible for assisting the project team in all day to day operations and running of building and refurbishment projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The onsite supervision of the construction effort for a wide variety of projects
  • Control and assurance of the safety and compliance of the workforce
  • Contribution and execution of Construction Methodologies and Method of Works Plans
  • Implementation of relevant SWMS, Permits, Isolations and Controls to ensure the safety of the team.
  • Quality and workmanship assurance in accordance with quality management processes and documentation
  • Manage and capture workforce hours and productivity
  • Stock control, procurement and inventory for the direct works on site.

ABOUT YOU

  • Willing to be 'hands-on'
  • Previous experience in a similar role – Concrete remediation experience is preferred
  • Trade background and construction industry experience
  • Frontline management experience desired
  • Cert IV in OHS would be advantageous in this role
