JOB DESCRIPTION
Concrete Repairs Ltd (CRL) is an ‘Equal Opportunity’ employer looking to employ a Construction Project Manager to work with our Team. The candidate for this position will ideally be from a Construction Project Management or Civil Engineering background and will preferably have a working knowledge of the concrete repair industry. This position will be based in our Melbourne office covering works throughout Australia.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Managing on sites to achieve financial, safety, quality and environmental targets
- Pre- contract planning and liaison with estimators
- Estimating, preparation of quality bids, PQQs and other presentations as required
- Managing of site staff, operatives and sub-contractors and supplier
- Delegating duties to site operatives
- Development of PSHEQP, method statements, risk assessments and other instructions to site teams
- Liaising and meeting with clients, consulting engineers, surveyors, sub-contractors and others.
- Ensure company Health and Safety and other SHEQ procedures are complied with
- Ensure CRM database is regularly updated with contractual information
- Planning, programming and resourcing site activities
- Maintaining accurate site records including site measurement sheets, site diary, plant and labour returns, goods received sheets, drawing register, as built drawings
- Implementing the Company’s Quality procedures, development of Quality Plan, ensuring that all QC testing and records are carried out
- Providing technical advice to site staff and feedback to estimators on outputs
- Upkeep and maintenance of site files and other records
- Procuring, ordering and approving materials, plant and subcontract purchases.
- Accepting, approving and issuing orders and instructions
- Budgeting, monitoring and control of site costs
- Identifying, evaluating and managing claims and variations
- Providing information for compiling applications for payment and agreeing final accounts
- Providing accurate information to management for regional monthly contract appraisals and other reports as required
- Completion, submission and archiving of site records
- Maintaining a working knowledge of current contract forms, acts and legislation
- Motivating, coaching and providing guidance to staff and operatives
- Communicating clearly and close liaison with regional management team
- Implementation of company policies and procedures
- Maintaining photographic record of site activities
- Ensuring professionalism and quality is maintained throughout all activities
- Improving and promoting company profile and activities
- Any other duties as reasonably required
