Hays are partnered with a local WA based Engineering company based in the Southern Suburbs. As the leading provider of hydraulic systems to the WA Mining Industry they are now expanding their team and are on the lookout for a customer focused Mechanical or Senior Mechanical Engineer. This is a Perth based role with occasional site travel required.

Your new role
This role will be working as an embedded resource in a Tier 1 customer based in the CBD. You will be responsible for improving reliability and performance of both existing and new fixed plant equipment. This is a unique and challenging role and will involve undertaking various site audits and providing recommendations and support to ensure the deliverables are achieved.

What you'll need to succeed

• Detailed design experience is essential
• Tertiary qualification such as a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• Strong communication / customer service skills
• Have the ability to deal with people at all levels from people on the ground to board level
• Ability to promote continuous improvement initiatives
