Batcher - Concrete

Based in Whyalla and reporting to the Production Supervisor, we are looking for an experienced Concrete Batcher, whose primary responsibilities will be the operating in the loading and delivering of pre-mixed concrete to our customer sites.

Your key responsibilities to help Build Something Great will include:

  • Compliance with OH&S practices and procedures
  • Operating a Batch Plant and Docket Despatch System
  • Undertaking all essential day-to-day administration of Batch Plant
  • Ordering and stock control of raw materials
  • Accurate batching of orders to specified mix designs
  • Supervision of Drivers
  • Yard and plant housekeeping.

Experience and skills required include:

  • Relevant batching and concrete industry experience (essential)
  • Current FEL ticket
  • Computer literate
  • A willingness to participate in daily rosters and be adaptable to changing shifts
  • A demonstrated commitment to improve safety
  • Self motivated, reliable and an ability to show initiative
  • Good organisational and planning skills to ensure customer and company requirements are met in a busy environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills which allow you to effectively communicate with drivers, managers and interdepartmental personnel
  • Availability to work Saturdays (mandatory)

Experience in the use of Command batching systems is desirable (especially concrete).
